what makes this experience different

  • I design heirloom sessions for families who value simplicity, quality, and the kind of portraits that never lose their meaning.
  • This experience isn’t about capturing everything. It’s about creating a small, intentional collection of images that feel significant the moment you see them, and even more so as the years pass.
  • These portraits become part of your child’s story, something they will grow up seeing, holding, and one day inheriting. A reflection of who they were in this moment, and how deeply they were loved.
  • Each portrait is crafted with a true-to-color, refined approach that prioritizes longevity over trends, so your images remain just as beautiful decades from now.
  • And while the final artwork is the focus, much of what makes these portraits special happens behind the scenes with careful attention to detail, thoughtful editing, and an artistic process designed to create something lasting.

FAQ

What age is best for an heirloom session?

These sessions work beautifully for babies who can sit independently (typically around 6–9 months) through early childhood. That said, they can be done at any age, the approach simply adjusts to your child.

What if my child is shy or not cooperating?

That’s completely normal, and part of the process. I work gently and patiently, allowing space for your child to warm up. Some of the most meaningful images come from those in-between moments.

What should my child wear?

For heirloom sessions, children are often dressed in collared or Peter Pan collar–style tops for a timeless, traditional look.

If you’re unsure what to choose, I’m always happy to share links and help you find something that photographs beautifully.

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking a few weeks in advance, especially if you’re hoping for a specific timeframe.
