what makes this experience different
- I design sessions for families who may feel a little unsure about being photographed in this new chapter, but don’t want to look back and wish they had these early days documented.
- The goal isn’t to capture everything, it’s to create a thoughtful, small collection of images you’ll always be glad you have.
- My editing is true-to-color and refined, prioritizing longevity over trends so your photos feel just as beautiful years from now as they do today. And while the final images matter, this experience is just as much about how it feels in the moment, slow, supported, and unrushed.

FAQ
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE PHOTOS?
I typically photograph newborns within the first 2–4 weeks after birth, but I’m happy to work outside of that window as well. We usually pencil in a tentative date around your due date and finalize once your baby arrives.
Do I need to bring anything?
You’re welcome to bring 1–2 outfits for yourself, any special blankets, heirlooms, or items you’d like included, and anything your baby needs for comfort (diapers, wipes, pacifier, etc.). I can provide simple wraps and layers if you prefer a more neutral look.
What kind of photos do you take?
My approach is gently guided and natural rather than heavily posed. I focus on connection, quiet details, and timeless portraits that feel authentic rather than trendy.
What should we wear?
I’ll can provide styling guidance so you feel polished without feeling overdone. Most families lean toward simple, neutral, and coordinated (not matching) outfits that keep the focus on your baby and your connection.

HI I'M DANIELLE -
I did two different styles of newborn photos with each of my kids. The first time, I panic booked a session, and while the pictures are beautiful, they don’t really speak to that chapter the way I wish they did. They were more posed and less natural than what feels true to me now.
Looking back, I see how meaningful it would have been to have images that better reflected that season.
Even if a full photoshoot isn’t in your plans, I always encourage expecting moms to document this time in some way, even just on your phone. It’s a season you may not fully appreciate until you’re on the other side, and one you’ll likely be grateful to remember.
