When you book a photoshoot with me, my goal is to give you a seamless, stress-free family photo experience from start to finish. I know that for many moms, the idea of scheduling a family photo session can feel overwhelming - between coordinating outfits, getting everyone ready, and hoping the kids (and dads!) are in a good mood, it’s a lot to think about.
But here’s the good news: you don’t have to stress. As a Binghamton family photographer, I’ll walk you through every step of the process so you can relax and enjoy the moment. We’ll capture a beautiful blend of posed and candid images, edited in my true-to-color, timeless style that feels natural and reflects your family’s connection.
Step 1: Booking Your Family Session in Binghamton
Getting started is easy. You can contact me via email, Instagram, Facebook, or by filling out the form on my website. Once we connect, we’ll choose a date and get your family photo session in Binghamton officially on the calendar.
To hold your spot, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
Step 2: Planning a Photo Session That Fits Your Family
After your booking is confirmed, we’ll plan the details. Whether you’re looking for an outdoor golden hour session, a cozy in-home shoot, or a clean studio photography session in Binghamton, I’ll help you choose the best setting for your family.
I’ll also offer guidance on what to wear and how to prep. I know it can be a lot - so I’m here to answer questions and help you feel confident going into the session. Need help with outfits? I’ll help you choose tones and textures that photograph beautifully and work together without being too “matchy.”
Step 3: What to Expect on the Day of Your Photoshoot
On the day of your session, we’ll start with gentle direction for more posed shots and then ease into relaxed, candid moments. My sessions are laid-back, playful, and designed to bring out the best in your family - without the pressure.
As a mom of two under two, I get it. I know what it’s like to work around naps, snacks, meltdowns, and last-minute outfit changes. I’m patient, flexible, and fully prepared to take our time. Family photography with kids doesn't have to be perfect - it just has to be real.
We’ll spend about 45–60 minutes together. Breaks are totally welcome - snack time and silly moments often lead to the best photos.
Step 4: After Your Session – Gallery Delivery
You’ll receive a sneak peek within a week of your session. Your full gallery will be delivered 2–3 weeks later and will include 30–40 hand-edited, high-resolution images for you to download, share, and print.
Each image is edited with my signature natural light family photography style - warm, clean, and timeless. You’ll also have the option to order professional prints and heirloom albums right from your gallery.
Step 5: Don’t Forget to Print Your Photos
After all the effort you’ve put into planning your family portraits, don’t let your images sit on your phone! Whether you print a gallery wall, frame a few favorites, or create a custom album, printed photos bring your memories to life in a whole new way.
In our home, one of the first things we did was hang a gallery wall down our hallway. I love walking past it every day - seeing how much everyone has grown and remembering those sweet little moments frozen in time.
Final Thoughts
My goal is to make your family photo session in the Southern Tier, NY feel easy, enjoyable, and meaningful. If you have questions at any point - from booking to outfit help to print orders - I’m always just a message away.
Thanks for trusting me with your memories. I can’t wait to capture your story.
